safe is your home? Click for Home Fire Safety Advice Youth Offending Team Youth Offending Team The Camden Youth Offending Team works with young people between the ages of 10–17, who have or are at risk of offending or are involved in anti-social behaviour. We run several projects for our young people to make amends for what they have done either to the victim or the community, which is known as reparation. Many of our young people commit offences that can have a direct or indirect effect on the fire service such as arson, hoax calling, dangerous/wreckless driving and/or dumping and burning of the cars. As part of our reparation programme, we take young people who have been identified as engaging in such behaviours to Euston Fire Station and specific firefighters work with that young person. This gives the young person an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the potential hazardous consequences that their behaviour may cause, not only to themselves and other innocent bystanders but also to the firefighters. This is a new project and we hope that it will have a positive effect on Camden’s young people, which will also have a knock-on positive effect for both Camden’s Fire Service and Youth Offending Team. For further information on reparation at Camden Youth Offending Team, please contact either Monica Morris-Jarra, Reparation Development Officer on 020 7974 2581 or Daniel Phelps, Early Intervention Team Manager on 020 7974 4726.
