On Friday 4th October at about 6.45pm a police van crashed into the Concordia Restaurant, demolishing a lamp post, after colliding with a VW Polo which was travelling along Gloucester Terrace.

It is reported that the van from Marylebone Police Station was chasing a suspect who had a warrant out for his arrest. Eight officers were in the van at the time.

Seven of the police officers were taken to St Mary's hospital with minor injuries such as whiplash and bruising. They have now all been released from hospital. The police driver was trapped in the vehicle and was cut free by London Fire Brigade. He was taken to St Mary's hospital suffering from chest and leg injuries and treated overnight before being discharged.

The incident will be investigated by the Collision Investigation Unit at Euston.
