Drogheda Fire and Rescue Service Purchase FRU 6
Following an accident which wrecked with their old
Rescue Unit, Drogheda Fire Service needed a replacement fast.
On hearing that London were taking order of some new Rescue Units
themselves, the southern Ireland Brigade snapped up FRU 6. This 1994 machine
was used mainly as a spare and so escaped some of the day to day wear and
tear that took its toll on the others. A quick refit and a lick of paint later
the machine goes on the run this week.
