Rope Rescue Stage 1 Due to Working at Height Regulations coming into effect this year all crews must adopt safe working practices whilst working at height. This means any crews not just FRU. So using the equipment supplied FRU crews will rig Firefighters in safety harnesses to allow them to continue normal safe working. This is stage 1. Stage 2 is still some time away, this will involve a slightly more in depth facility for crews involved in rescue. It is proposed that Euston, Edmonton and Croydon will move onto stage 3. This will cover all remaining likely scenarios that may be encountered by Firefighters in London.
